# MCP tools

What Claude can do in your workspace. Every call is approved by you in claude.ai.

- **get_context** — call first. Robinhood constraints, adapter shapes with examples, the template message, the playbook, and your automations.
- **validate_adapter** — run sample alert messages through an adapter without saving. Returns the signal each sample produced.
- **create_automation** — save a validated adapter and get the webhook URL. Starts in test mode.
- **update_automation** — change name, adapter, samples or default quantity. Samples are re-validated; nothing is saved if one stops matching.
- **get_automation_status** — mode, verification, owned shares, the current webhook URL while it is viewable, and the last 20 events including raw bodies of unrecognized alerts.
- **list_automations** — every automation in the workspace.
- **set_mode** — `test`, `live` or `paused`. Live is refused with the list of missing prerequisites. Claude only calls live when you ask.
- **rotate_webhook** — issue a new webhook URL. The old one stops immediately.
- **get_setup_status** — onboarding checklist and membership.
- **get_broker** — Robinhood connection status, buying power, positions and the last 20 orders. Read only.

## The playbook Claude follows

1. Read the Pine Script and classify it: `strategy()` → default message or template; `alert()` / `alertcondition()` → rules.
2. Derive the exact strings the script's alerts emit and the signal each should produce.
3. Validate until every sample maps to the intended signal.
4. Say what will and will not execute: long only, quantity mirrors the alert, market orders, equities and ETFs.
5. Create the automation and hand over the webhook URL, the message, and the TradingView steps.
6. Wait for one real alert, then confirm what arrived.
7. Switch to live only on request.
8. After any rotation, always give the exact new URL to paste.
